Power of Attorney
General Power of Attorney
The Power of Attorney may be late-filed (within one month of a Notice to Supplement Power).
An alternative is to place a General Power of Attorney on file with the Korean Intellectual
Property Office. Click here for an introduction to the General Power of Attorney system. Power documents
need not be notarized nor legalized.
When effecting changes to the status of the ownership of an application or registration,
a combination of the below documents is required. Please contact us for a determination
of the specific requirements for your case.
Certificate of Change of Name/Address
Certificate of Corporation
Certificate of Nationality
Deed of Assignment
There is no need for the completed portions (blanks) of any form to be typewritten,
but if hand-printed, legibility is required. Although the printed forms may be
photocopied and transmitted via facsimile for the purposes of obtaining a signature,
Korean practice requires that the ultimately submitted document bear an original signature,
in ink, rather than a reproduced image of the signature. Therefore,
a signed original must be forwarded by mail.
All forms are viewable/printable with Adobe Acrobat Reader.
