2023 General Assembly of APAA in Singapore

 Mr. Casey K.C. An (Myung-Shin & Partners) was elected as the Senior Vice President of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (APAA).

The APAA held the General Assembly at the Marina Bay Sands Expo Convention Center on November 7, 2023.

The new President, Mr. Hari Subramaniam from India, was elected for two years, and the Senior Vice President, Mr. Casey K.C. An from Korea, Ms. Linda Wang from Malaysia, and Ms. Joyce Ho from Taiwan were elected. In addition, Ms. Catherine E.K. Lee from Korea was appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee composed of eight councilors for advice to the President.

Further, among the six Standing Committees, Mr. Min-Cheol Kim was appointed as Co-Chairperson of the Patents Committee, Ms. Sunmi Lee as Co-Chairperson of the Trademark Committee, and Mr. Ben Yu as the Co-Chairperson of the Design Committee respectively by the President.

At the General Assembly held in Singapore from November 4 to 7, 2023, 1,446 participants attended.

Out of 1,446, Korea participated with 118 people, ranked third, following Japan and India.
