Amendment of the Internet Address Resources Act
The Internet Address Resources Act was amended and published on June 9, 2009 and will be effective as of September 10, 2009. The main contents are as follows;

1. According to the current Act, a cancellation of registration could be requested only to a domain name
registered with an unjust purpose.

However, according to the amended Act, it is possible to request the transfer of the registration of the
domain name as well as the cancellation of its registration, in order to protect the just owner.

2. When the defendant does not take any legal proceedings against the just owner within the prescribed period after receiving the mediation decision, the Internet Address Dispute Mediation Committee will
regard that the defendant accepts the mediation decision and will take action to execute the cancellation of registration or transfer of registration.
